• Independently lead and manage one of the roadmap teams reporting directly to Team Leader, to ensure roadmap objectives are met and teams are consistently applying the roadmap approach
  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction for his/her team (Junior Associate and Analysts), consistently role modelling the roadmap approach and actively managing team work plans and outputs
  • Manage operations and performance management of team

Main Activities / Responsibilities

  • Contribute to managing relationships with line outcome owners and their staff
  • Actively manage assigned team’s deliverables, to ensure key objectives of SMU roadmap teams are met
  • Assist in managing leadership-level relationships with assigned departments
  • Lead problem solving for assigned priorities
  • Work directly with owners of delivery activities in department to provide problem solving support to civil servants
  • Provide support and build team capacity in problem solving
  • Regularly evaluate progress of workplan and team performance to ensure roadmap is tracking well
  • Conduct complex analyses quickly and with limited supervision 
  • Ensure high quality, logical presentations and reports are developed showing good use of data 
  • Build solid trust based relationships with colleagues in the SMU and elsewhere

Essential Qualifications and Experiences

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering, Economics or Social Sciences (16 years of education)
  • Work experience: 3-6 years
  • Some experience of working in government or business
  • Determined, hardworking and focused
  • Optimistic and confident
  • Passion and commitment for the mission
  • Willing to work hard under pressure
  • Knowledge of sector desirable but not essential
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think in a structured way in new circumstances

  • Ability to conduct complex analyses quickly and with limited supervision 
  • Ability to develop high quality, logical presentations and reports with clear charts and concise prose
